Derek William Haseleu

Derek William Haseleu, 31, of Springfield died Friday, January 5, 2017. Derek was born on September 29, 1986 to Randy and Rose (Amsden) Haseleu at the Springfield Community Hospital. He attended and graduated from Springfield Public High School in 2005. He participated in football and baseball. He graduated from South Central Technical College in Mankato with a Business Administration Degree. He enjoyed farming and working with cattle. Derek enjoyed coffee talk with the guys in Clements, the rosette making tradition with his mom, farm and investment talks with his dad, and was a Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan. He enjoyed time with family and Carrie. "Doc" also liked hanging out with his close friends. Derek is survived by his parents Randy and Rose Haseleu of Springfield; significant other Carrie Peissig of Dorchester, WI; sister Ashley Schmitt and nephews Rilee and Conner Schmitt of Springfield; brother Brent Haseleu of Morgan; grandparents William and Leola Haseleu of Clements; aunt Sandy (Gary Don) Hesse of Clements, uncle Mike Amsden of Cross Lake; cousins and many friends. He is preceded in death by grandparents Les and Neola Amsden of Comfrey; uncles Kenny Amsden of Comfrey and Gary Amsden of Olivia.
