David Dick

March 30, 1924 — October 7, 2004

David P. Dick, the son of Peter S. and Sara (Fast) Dick was born on March 30, 1924, at Mountain Lake, MN. He received his education at Mountain Lake public schools and the Christian Day School, graduating from the Mountain Lake High School in 1943. David was baptized upon confession of his faith at the Gospel Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake on May 16, 1943. David served his country in the U.S. Army in the Phillipines from June 14, 1943 to January 20, 1946. On June 28, 1946, David was united inmarriage to Leona Loewen at the Gospel Mennonite Church. They made their home in Windom and Mountain Lake, where Dave worked as a manager for the local natural gas company. He was an member of the Alliance Missionary Church in Mountain Lake, American Legion Post #389, the Mountain Lake Fire Department, Rotary, and served a term on the Mountain Lake City Council. Dave enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, volunteering and helping others. David P. Dick, age 80, of Mountain Lake, MN, died on Thursday, October 7, 2004, at Windom Area Hospital in Windom, MN. David is survived by his wife, Leona Dick of Mountain Lake; two sons, Kevin Dick and his wife Peggy of Fenninore, WI and Stan Dick and his wife Sally of Monticello, MN; three grandchildren, Carter Dick, Ramy Dick and Bradley Dick; a sister, Tina Neufeld and her husband George of Mountain Lake; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Peter Dick.
