David Arnsdorf

David Warren Arnsdorf was born June 2, 1925 to Levi and Louise Arnsdorf in Springfield. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1943. He married the love of his life Alva Jensen on August 25, 1950. Dave and Alva farmed near Springfield until 1968. They moved to Springfield and Dave worked at Kraft Foods until his retirement in 1986. Dave enjoyed many outdoor hobbies including hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and yard work. He also enjoyed woodworking crafts and as a young man raising dogs. He most enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Dave loved to visit and always had a kind word for anyone who needed it. David Warren Arnsdorf, 83, of Springfield, MN died Sunday, May 3, 2009 at the Springfield Medical Center. David is survived by his wife of 59 years - Alva (Jensen) Arnsdorf of Springfield; four children - Bradley (Colleen) Arnsdorf of Goshen, IN, Charlene Arnsdorf of Willmar, MN, Brian (Kerrina) Arnsdorf of Cokato, MN and Diane (Richard) Cordes of Glenwood, MN; 5 grandchildren - David (fiancee Kelly), Jaime (Ken), Kali, Kiefer and Emily; sister - Dorraine Nauman of Columbia Heights, MN; brother-in-law - Warren and Greta Jensen of Springfield; sister-in-law - Donna Arnsdorf of New Ulm. David is preceded in death by his parents - Levi and Louise (Krueger) Arnsdorf; brothers - Harlen and Floyd; brothers-in-law - Gorden Jensen and Conrad Nauman; sister-in-law - Bonnie Jensen.
