Corrine Posz

Corrine A. Posz was born on March 15, 1930, in Franklin, MN the daughter of Ole and Louise (Olson) Hanson. She graduated from Franklin High School and attended St. Olaf College and graduated from Mankato State with her teacher's license. She taught in Hector. She was united in marriage to John William Posz on June 17, 1956, at Central Lutheran Church in rural Fairfax. She continued her teaching career in Sanborn until retiring in 1996. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton and volunteered at Shalom Hill Farm and Green Lake Bible Camp. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and served on mission trips to Alaska and Maine. She loved to cook, read, and spend time with her grandchildren. Corrine died on Friday, January 16, 2015, at Seasons Hospice in Redwood Falls at the age of 84 years. She is survived by her daughter - Julie (Tom) Anderson of Hull, IA and their children - Jacob (Ashley) Anderson, and Kelsey (Nate) Mosterd; son - Kurt (Cha) Posz of New Brighton, MN and their children - Andrew and Lucas Posz; and son - Erik (Sarah) Posz of Sanborn, MN and their children - Andrew Brown, Xander and Piper Posz; great grandchild - Brock Anderson; sister - Marlys (Maynard) Lenz; brother - Dale Hanson; sister-in-law - Phyllis Posz; and family friend Nadene Moll. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, in 2003; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Posz. Memorials preferred to Green Lake Lutheran Ministries, Shalom Hill Farm, or Redwood Area Hospital Hospice.
