Clarence Goodburn

March 8, 1943 — August 1, 2012

Clarence L. Goodburn, the son of James and Verna (Williams) Goodburn was born on March 8, 1943. He graduated from the Madelia High School in 1961. Clarence married his high school sweetheart, Lynne Reed on February 1, 1964. Clarence was employed at Citizens Bank as a loan officer for 20 years. He then purchased the Our Own Hardware Store in Madelia. Clarence moved on to sell farm tractor literature from his home via the internet. Clarence often spent his free time going to swap meets, collecting antiques and going out to eat with friends and family. He was an active member of the Madelia Rotary Club. He was also a member and treasurer at the First Baptist Church in Lake Crystal. He was on the board at the Madelia Lake Crystal Insurance Company. Clarence is survived by loving wife, Lynne Goodburn of Madelia; children, Tammi (Mike) Kennedy of Madison Lake, Chad (Debra) Goodburn of Vernon Center; grandchildren, Nate (Amber) Kennedy of Stewartville, Tommy Kennedy of Madison Lake, Trinity Goodburn of Vernon Center; great-grandchild, Emma; sister, Kathleen (Robert) Luiken; brothers, Lawrence (EvaLou), Don (Marcella), Dave (Ardis). He was preceded in death by his parents.
