Carol (Mrs. Kenneth) Hinderman, 64, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at her home in rural Sleepy Eye. Carol was born November 18th, 1943 at the Sleepy Eye Hospital to Vernon and Glayd (Sampson) Marti. She grew up 3 miles southeast of Sleepy Eye where she attended District 30 country school and then graduated from Sleepy Eye Public High School in 1961. Carol married Kenneth Hinderman on April 15th, 1970. The couple made their home on a farm site 10 miles northeast of Sleepy Eye in North Home Township. Carol worked at the Sleepy Eye Creamery until 1971, then became a full-time homemaker for her family and performed volunteer work for her church. After her children were grown she worked for Palm Beach Pontoon as a sewer. Carol was a lifelong member of Faith United Methodist Church in Sleepy Eye. She was an active member in the UMW, taught Sunday School, served on many committees, and held many offices. Carol enjoyed time spent outdoors and with family and friends. She enjoyed her flower gardens, walks in the woods, nature, camping, vacation trips, crafts and sewing. Carol is survived by her husband Kenneth Hinderman of Sleepy Eye; daughter Linette Hinderman of Sleepy Eye; son Craig and wife Michelle and grandchildren Jamie and Jordan Hinderman of New Ulm; brothers Gardell and wife Mary Marti of Sleepy Eye, Mark Marti of Sleepy Eye; brothers-in-law LeRoy and wife Alice Hinderman of Sleepy Eye, Arnold and wife Arlene Hinderman of Sleepy Eye; and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law Delbert Hinderman and sister-in-law Pat Hinderman.
