Brian Pieschel

A Parish Prayer Service will be Friday at 6:30pm at the funeral home. Brian Francis Pieschel was born June 26, 1954 , in Springfield, MN, the son of G.M. (Mike) and Jodi (Thommen) Pieschel. Brian attended St. Raphael's Catholic Elementary School in Springfield, MN and graduated from the Angie Nall School for children with learning disabilities in Beaumont, TX. Brian lived in the Minneapolis area most of his adult life. His passions included the Minnesota Gophers, Vikings and Twins. He loved visiting Springfield, having coffee with his many friends and spending time with his family. Brian also loved going to the family lake home on Lake Darling in Alexandria and he enjoyed fishing and bowling. Brian traveled extensively with family to Europe, Mexico and recently Hawaii. Brian spent many years in the programs of Opportunity Partners and Lifeworks Services. For the past 11 years Brian worked at The Valspar Corporation. Brian died Saturday, March 14, 2009, at his residence in Richfield at the age of 54. Brian is survived and loved by parents Mike and Jodi Pieschel of Springfield, MN brother Paul and wife Sharon (Enger) Pieschel of Springfield, MN sisters Peggy and husband Matt Van Hoomissen of New Prague, Mary and husband Tom Esselman of Kansas City, MO, Martha Hepperla of Carver, MN and many nieces and nephews. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents. Brian was the jewel of the family and will be dearly missed by all. Memorials preferred to: Opportunity Partners, Inc. or Lifeworks Services, Inc., both of Minneapolis/St-Paul area.
