Barbara Maxine Rasmussen

Barbara Maxine Beckius was born to Martin and Clarabelle (Olsen) Beckius on April 19, 1946 in St. James, MN. She went to an all girls Catholic school and later graduated from St. James High School. On July 27, 1972 Barbara married the love of her life, Larry Rasmussen, in Butterfield, MN.  This marriage of 52 years was blessed with 4 children. Barb enjoyed gardening, puzzle books, crafts, fishing with her family, baking, being in her flower garden and playing with the dogs.  Throughout her life she has worked at Tony Downs, Mountain Lake Hospital and Good Samaritan Village of Mountain Lake.

Barb sadly left us on August 12, 2024, peacefully in her sleep with her husband by her side. Private family services will be held at a later date.

She leaves behind her husband, Leonard "Larry" Rasmussen of Lakefield; children - Theresa Rasmussen, David Rasmussen, Nicole Rasmussen and SuAnn Rasmussen; six grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; sister, Pat Schuur; brothers-in-law, Dean (Retha) Rasmussen of Winnebago and Darby (Becky) Rasmussen of St. Peter; and sister-in-law, Linda Beckius. Barb was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings - Eugene Beckius, Arlene (Tim) Brown, Rosie (Dennis) Schroen, James Beckius; brother-in-law, Don Schuur.
