Arvid F. Redman age 92, of Sanborn, MN died on May 1, 2020, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN. A private family service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at the Lamberton Cemetery. The clergy will be Chaplain Noel Wetter. Interment will be at the Lamberton Cemetery. Arvid Fred Redman was born on July 31, 1927 on the family farm in Germantown Township, south of Sanborn to Edward and Sadie (Wegner) Redman. He attended country school through 8th grade and then graduated from Sanborn High School. On August 5, 1961, Arvid and Delna (Hoffmann) were married in the Zion Lutheran Church in Sanborn. All the flowers used for corsages and decorating were grown in his flower garden. During his life he enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Arv was an active sports person and played basketball in high school and pitched softball for the Germantown Church League. Hunting, fishing, and vegetable gardening kept him very busy and entertained. He will be forever remembered for his Christmas light displays by the young and old. Arvid died on Friday, May 1, 2020 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN, at the age of 92. He is survived by his wife Delna, son Mark, sister-in-law Elaine Hedman, and nieces and nephews. Arv was preceded in death by his parents - Ed and Sadie Redman and brothers - Alger, Willis, and Glen.
