Arlyce Marie Lee

Arlyce Marie (Mathiowetz) Lee, 76, recently of Gilbert AZ, earned her angel's wings on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Hospice of the Valley Lund Home, Gilbert AZ, surrounded by her loved ones. Arlyce was born on June 10, 1939 to Alfred and Mary (Reiniger) Mathiowetz in Mulligan Township, Minnesota. She grew up on a farm in Comfrey where she went to school. She graduated from Comfrey High School and retired from American Medical Systems as a Medical Inspector. On August 24, 1961, Arlyce married Lawrence (Larry) Morgan. She later married Ronald (Ron) Lee on February 13, 1982. She lived in the suburbs of Minneapolis, and she retired to Arizona. Arlyce loved bowling, dancing (occasionally on tables), shopping, fishing, cards, yahtzee and most importantly, spending time with family. Arlyce was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children, Shelley (Steve) Hagen, Moorhead, MN; Larry Morgan (Mark Hess), Gilbert AZ; Sherri Morgan, So. St. Paul, MN; Curtis (Rita) Morgan, Park Rapids, MN; sisters, Karen Yaeger, Allen, TX; Judy Kunkel, Sleepy Eye, MN; Debbie (Duane) Distad, Hanska, MN; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her special friend Chuck Hanson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Mary, and her brother Curt. Her family will always carry her memory in their hearts. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Hospice of the Valley Lund Home in Gilbert AZ for their amazing support in her final days.
