Arlene Marie Schroepfer

Arlene Marie Schroepfer, age 88, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on May 11, 2022, at her home in rural Sleepy Eye. Arlene Marie Schroepfer was born on August 11, 1933 in Sleepy Eye, MN the daughter of Peter and Katherine (Moldan) Goblirsch. She married Gerald Schroepfer on May 5th, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. After her marriage to Gerald, Arlene was a splendid wife who devoted her life to raising 12 children and helping on the farm. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, gardening, baking caramel rolls, various pies and cookies. She was a gracious host to all visitors. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday where she reveled in large family gatherings at her home. Arlene is survived by her husband, Gerald, children, Dennis (Lori) of St. Cloud, Janet (Tom) Wilfahrt of New Ulm, Pat (Judy) of Sleepy Eye, Ken (Colleen) of Pecatonica, IL, Jean (Mac) York of Flat Rock, AL, Lois (Brad) Eberhard of Castle Rock, CO, Alan (Ann) of Paynesville, Mary (Dave) Bauer of Litchfield, Colleen (Steve) Berscheit of Sleepy Eye, Sharon (John) Hauser of Sleepy Eye and Kristine (Cody) Helget of New Ulm, son-in-law, Dale (Kelly) Sellner of Sleepy Eye, 68 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, siblings, Margaret Schwartz, Catherine (Lester) Hillesheim, Al (Loretta) Goblirsch and Cletus (Delores) Goblirsch. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Sandy Sellner, siblings, Martin (Deloris), Gertrude (Leonard), Fr. Leo, Sr. Goretti "Rosalia" and Cecilia, and brother-in-law Harry Schwartz.
