Althea Winseth

December 5, 1920 — February 8, 2008

Aletha Irene Winseth was born December 5, 1920, in Highwater Township, Cottonwood County, MN, the daughter of Robert and Effie (Hoffmann) Moore. She was baptized and confirmed at the Lamberton United Methodist Church and later re-confirmed at Old Westbrook Lutheran Church. Aletha was united in marriage to Agner Winseth on June 15, 1947, at her parents' home in rural Vesta. Following marriage, the couple made their home on Agner's grandparents' farm southeast of Revere. They retired and moved into Lamberton in 1976. Aletha enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting, embroidery, and canning. She also enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and baking. Aletha Irene Winseth died Friday, February 8, 2008, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton at the age of 87 years. She is survived by son- Steve Winseth of Windom; daughters- Robin Pape of Sanborn, and Bonnie and husband Charles Peterson of Lunenburg, MA; grandchildren- Jeremy and wife Melissa Pape, Justin Pape, and Jeffrey Pape; and sisters- Velma Disque of Waseca, Myrtle and husband John Kruse of New Ulm, and Ruby and husband Glenn McCoy of Vesta. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Agner in 2003; brothers- Victor, Robert, and a brother in infancy; and son-in-law- Eldon Pape in 2007.
