Ellis Jay "Jack" Strassburg was born on November 18, 1936 in Luverne, MN the son of Elmer & Doris (Beaty) Strassburg. He grew up and graduated from high school. Jack married Darline A. Krogman on November 25, 1961 in Lismore, MN. Jack lived and worked in several communities in Southern Minnesota until he settled with his family in Sleepy Eye where he worked for Dittrich Trucking as a long haul truck driver for many years. After losing his wife he worked for AUI in Sleepy Eye for several years until retirement.
Jack liked to listen to country music, play cards and read western books. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and especially his family.
Survivors include, his children, Dondi (Vicky) Strassburg of Hanska, MN, Denise (Mark) Doyle of Sleepy Eye, MN, Devon (Nicci) Strassburg of Maynard, MN and Derek Strassburg of Andaulusia, AL, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, sister, Carla (Richard) Krakora of Tuscon, AZ, sister-in-law, Elaine Strassburg of Tuscon, AZ and 6 nieces and 6 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Darline, brother, Jim and grandson, Dustin Strassburg.
