Jared was born April 9, 1991 in New Ulm, MN, the son of Scott & Linda (Helget) Peterson. He lived on the farm all his life helping Dad and working for area farmers. Jared attended and graduated from St. Mary's High School in Sleepy Eye. During summers and after graduating from high school he was employed by Chuck Case at C & S Grain Systems. Jared will be remembered for how he loved to work with cars, 4-wheelers, snowmobiles with his brother, hunting, building things with wood, spending time with this family & friends, and just being a buddy with his sense of humor.
Jared is survived by his parents, Scott & Linda Peterson, brother, Jim Peterson all of Sleepy Eye, sister, Jenna Peterson of Seattle, WA, grandfather, Leslie Peterson of Sleepy Eye, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernard & Delores Helget, Selina Peterson and uncles, Mark Peterson and Richard Krebs.
