Kevin Francis Augustin was born on June 27, 1949 in Sleepy Eye, MN the son
of Donald & Sylvia (Helget) Augustin. He grew up and attended school in
Leavenworth through the 8th grade. He then attended school in Comfrey where
he graduated from high school in 1967. Kevin entered the US Army on
8/26/1969 and served in Vietnam until his discharge on 8/25/1971. He married
Phyllis Konz on November 25, 1972. The couple made their home in Leavenworth
where Kevin farmed with his father until moving to Sleepy Eye in 2000. Kevin
was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye Honor Guard and a
trap shooting league. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, traveling
and going on vacations with family.

at his home in Sleepy Eye, MN

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Sleepy Eye, children, Sheila
(Todd) Nachreiner of Springfield, Grant Augustin (special friend Jean
Korkemeier) of Sleepy Eye and Aran Augustin of Sleepy Eye, 4 grandchildren,
Andrew, Dylan, Samantha and Natalie, mother, Sylvia Augustin of Comfrey and
sister, Brenda (Rod) Newman of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his
father, Donald, brother, Wayne and niece Sara Newman.
