Allen Roy Baerg, the son of Clarence and Elizabeth (Heinrichs) Baerg was born on December 27, 1951 in Mountain Lake, MN. He received his education at the Mountain Lake Christian School and Mountain Lake High School, graduating in 1970. Following graduation, Allen began trucking over the road. On September 6, 1975, Allen was united in marriage to Darlene Elaine Penner at the First Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake. They made their home on Allen's family farm and farmed for ten years before Allen returned to trucking. Allen loved his Percheron horses and rebuilding horse machinery. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.

Allen R. Baerg died on Monday, December 24, 2007, at the Windom Area Hospital in Windom, MN. He attained the age of 55 years, 11 months and 27 days.

Allen is survived by his wife, Darlene Baerg of Bingham Lake, MN; a daughter, Tammy Lindsey and her husband Aaron of Cohagen, MT; a brother, Larry Baerg and his wife Evelyn of Saskatoon, Canada; a sister, Linda Goertzen and her husband Gordon of Windom, MN; his father Clarence Baerg of Mountain Lake; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother
