John Joseph Beikler Jr. was born on June 7, 1933 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of John Sr. and Odella (Pouliot) Beikler. At the age of 3 his family moved to Fargo, ND and John attended Catholic School. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Bjornstad on April 25, 1954. He has lived in Great Falls, MT, Seattle, WA, Minneapolis, MN, and Tucson, AZ before moving to St. James in 1989. He has driven truck for 40 years and for the last 20 years of his career he drove for Runge Trucking. John enjoyed coin collecting, reading, 1st. Day covers, and traveling.

John died on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the St. James Health Services Hospital in St. James, MN.

He is survived by his wife - Marilyn Beikler of St. James; children - Lindy and husband Ronald Lucht of Cape Coral, FL and Debra and husband Kenneth Howe of Myrtle Creek, OR; a grandson - James and wife Stacy Lucht of Minneapolis, MN; and a sister - Lola Butcher of Nisswa, MN. John is preceded in death by his parents.
