Wilma Marjorie (nee Benson) Beito was born July 22, 1918, at
Wegdahl, Minn. the oldest of three children of Willie and Mabel Sarah (nee
Anderson) Benson. She was baptized into the Christian faith at Strombeck
Lutheran Church, Sparta Township, rural Montevideo. She attended country
school in rural Wegdahl and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1936.
After graduation she worked at Union State Bank in Montevideo.
She married Marion E. Beito at the home of her mother on January 16,
1943. Together, they raised a family and farmed in rural Granite Falls.
Wilma's passions included baking, gardening, quilting, arranging flowers and
spending time with her grandchildren. When her children were older, she
enjoyed working at Granite Floral and Greenhouse.
Wilma was a member of Saron Lutheran Church where she was active in
ALCW. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and neighbors in birthday
club, Homemaker's club, the Asbury Community Club, and the Minnesota Farmers
Union. Wilma was a member of the auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Wilma and Marion celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1993
surrounded by their family and many friends. She loved afternoons with her
girlfriends shopping and having coffee.

Wilma is survived by her son, Mark (and Sandra) Beito of Sleepy
Eye; son, Keith Beito of Granite Falls, (and fiance Robin Ast of Maynard);
daughter, Kathryn (and Miegell) Honebrink of Edina; brother, Lee (and Adele)
Benson of Clintonville, WI;grandchildren, Tom Beito of Minneapolis; Laura
Beito of St. Paul (and fiance Kevin Jaunich of Buffalo); Julia (and Casey)
Coulson of Sleepy Eye; and great grandson, Gunval Coulson, of Sleepy Eye.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion, her parents, and her
brother, John Benson.
