Lucille M. Lowinski was born on September 26, 1918 in Home Township, MN
the daughter of Rudolph & Meta (Rolloff) Lowinski. She married Richard
Bertrand August 26, 1940. After marriage the couple farmed north of Sleepy
Eye, MN until 1958. They then purchased and operated Richs' Bar in Evan, MN
until 1972. Lucy moved to Sleepy Eye, MN and over the years she worked for
various liquor establishments in the Sleepy Eye area until her retirement in
1998 when she was 80. Lucille was a member of the Christian Mother's
Society, VFW Auxiliary, Municipal Hospital Auxiliary, Legion Auxiliary, St.
Mary's Catholic Church, and St. Mary's Council of Catholic Women. She
enjoyed playing cards and visiting with family and friends.

Lucille is survived by her three children, Steven and wife Adrianne
Bertrand of Clear Water, Florida, Lynn and wife Mary Bertrand of Coon
Rapids, MN, and Cheryl Nessett of Sleepy Eye,MN her brother, Donald and wife
Bonnie Lowinski of New Ulm, MN, and brother-in-law, Willis and wife Arlene
Hansen of Cannon Falls, MN. 7 grandchildren: Chris Nessett, Dean Nessett,
Daniel Bertrand, Kristina and Kevin White, Michele and Brian Costigan, and
Jason and Ryan Bertrand. Also by her 4 great grandchildren Ashley and Alexa
Costigan and Josephine and Jacob White. Lucille was preceded in death by her
parents, sister Doris, and husband Rich who passed away in March of 1970.
