Charles Frederick Riederer, Sr. was born on January 17th, 1936 in Sleepy
Eye, MN the son of Joseph & Victoria (Leonard) Riederer. He grew up and
attended school in Sleepy Eye, graduating from St. Mary's High School in
1955. Charles worked seasonally at Del Monte and Marshall Foods until
entering the US Army in 1958. Charles married Margie G. Berkner on December
28, 1960 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. He continued to serve
in the Army until 1964 when he returned to Sleepy Eye where he worked
for Sanitary Dairy until the business closed. Charles then worked for
Swift-Eckrich Inc. in St. James until he retired. He was a member of St.
Mary's Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing cards, wood-working, traveling,
and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include, his children, Kim (Doug) Stitt of Crystal Lake, Charles,
Jr. (Lindy) Riederer of Sleepy Eye, Kay (Troy) Hagert of Springfield, Karol
(Roy) Nielson of Sleepy Eye, Karen Riederer of New Ulm, Keith (Jill)
Riederer of Springfield and Kelly (Brian) Kelly of Comfrey, 11
grandchildren, siblings, John (JoAnn) Riederer of Sleepy Eye, Rose Mary
Riederer of Sleepy Eye, Helen (Sylvester) Fahey of Fairfax, and Bernadette
(James) Johnson of Montivideo, and fiance, Bernice Gray. He was preceded in
death
by his parents, wife, Margie, brother Edward, grandson, Mark and a brother
in infancy.
