Hulda Adams was born on February 21, 1911 in Three Rivers Township, Redwood County, the daughter of August Carl and Ida (Rhode) Raddatz. Hulda married John Adams and they lived in Chicago and Milwaukee before they moved to the Los Angeles area during WWII. She opened her first dress shop and over a period of 25 years, her business had grown to 7 shops located from San Diego to Beverly Hills. After retirerment, Hulda and John returned to Minnesota. Hulda died on Thursday, October 28, 2004 at the St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 93 years. She is survived by her children- John Q. Adams, Andrea Uta Mallet, Brian David Adams, and Gaylord Bryce Adams, all of California. Hulda was preceded in death by her parents and husband John.
